COZ MANU WON CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!

so high right. double champs. oh yea!

I woke up 45 mins before the start of the match can. duno if its me who read wrongly or the papers stated the time wrongly. i woke up at 2am lo. luckily channel 55 was showing a repeat telecast of the 9pm hk drama which i have missed earlier today.

the match was like how exciting. for the first half, manu dominates the match. ronaldo scored in the 2o+ min and there were a couple of close shaves saved by chelsea goalkeeper. then just few seconds before the half time whistle was sounded, chelsea scored a goal. that was really a heng goal, coz the ball was actually deflected twice.

coz of the 1-1, i couldnt get to slp during the half time period. chelsea then dominated the game for the 2nd half period. again 1-1. then came the extra time. for the 2nd extra time, chelsea player drogba was sent off. that left 10 vs 11. still, the score remained as 1-1.

to determine the winner, penalty kicks were up next. top scorer of the season ronaldo DID NOT score that penalty kick! it was actually saved by chelsea goalkeeper! it was such a great disappointment at that moment in time. coz im sure everyone will thot that he will score that in. but i guess man do err at the last minute plus considering how ronaldo has been playing for the club this season, his mistake will be overlooked and forgiven. on the other hand, chelsea scored every penalty kick until the last one. by then, i was already thinking " if manu will to lose, i can forget about slping after the match, coz too upset liao". and who knows, chelsea captain terry took the last penalty did not score the goal! he kicked the ball way off the goal post!

see how the emotions went throughout? coz of that miss by terry, the penalty kicks remain at 4-4. total penalty kicks is 8. so that means 3 players to go and take the penalty kicks. all 3 manu players succeed in the goals. as for chelsea, the last player to take the penalty kick did not manage to score. manu goalkeeper van de sar saved the goal (and eventually save the day!!!).

then the rest were history.

it was such a dramatic moment, i tell ya. definitely one of the most exciting penalty kicks i have ever watched. when manu was pronounced the winner, terry broke up in tears. it must be heart wrenching to see the captain of your fav club broke down, isnt it. but then again, there bound to be winner and loser in every match. ronaldo cried too, but his were tears of relief and joy. at least he will not be remembered as the guy who caused manu the 2008 champions league cup when he did not score for the penatly kick.

woah. really what a turn of events. wanted to go youtube find the clip where terry kicked that ball too off the goal post, but i guess it will not be uploaded so soon. it was certainly a painful miss for him.

shit shit shit, manu has received the cup and espn has stopped showing live telecast from moscow stadium. but i still cant sleep.

ps: im wearing red tomorrow. LOL
